Thanks for checking in.
Irene had a BRUTAL day.
The medical team terminated dialysis treatment 20 minutes early because the PAIN was so piercing. The nerves in her arm/fistula region were at a 9+ on a scale of 1-10.
The unending NAUSEA, too, was also at a 9+ on a scale of 1-10.
She’s been trying to sleep all afternoon but hasn’t been able to do so…the chronic “fatigue factor” has been agonizing.
The medical team has concluded that the FISTULA needs examination by a surgeon to make sure it’s functioning properly.
In the meantime, the medical team will try yet another attempt with 2 additional needle entry points.
BRUTAL is the defining word for Irene’s experience today.
Stay tuned…and thanks for caring,
Dave
