Irene joyfully perseveres on the journey with her signature smile. I am convinced, yet again, that only through an intimate, dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus is she able to do so. Daily, Irene’s inner spirit is renewed through her practice of worship, adoration and praise of her Heavenly Father.
Her nausea persists but now an additional challenge …. that being the burden of confronting chronic fatigue. The colossal 24/7 nausea and dialysis since June of 2007 have certainly been challenge enough, but the fatigue factor now emerges as the new daily grind.
But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.”

Our physical bodies will someday betray us …. whether sooner or later …. and I am convinced that Jesus uses the aging process as yet another means of drawing all humanity to Himself.
And, unless we’re in denial, we see the reality of our mortality every time we look in the mirror.
