The beautiful summer weather has inspired me to resume a
long-abandoned walking routine.  As I’m walking in these early
mornings, I think of you, and pray for Irene’s recovery.

Joining your many precious friends and family asking the Lord to shower His mercy, healing, strength and peace upon each of you.
Psalm 46:10 has been a verse I hold on to when life seems overwhelming. Be still, and know that I am God. A wonderful reminder…..  of the awesome God, in whom we place our life and trust. He is the all-powerful creator, sustainer, savior, comforter and healer.

Our hearts ache with the news of Irene’s return to ICU. When I think of all that you have endured these trying, scary and unbelievable weeks, I know that your faith and confidence in God’s grace and mercy sustains you.

As I’ve seen in you and read in the updates, I witness an amazing faith and love for a perfect and matchless God.
Dave, I pray for continued strength, endurance and wisdom for you. Irene, I pray for healing miracles, endurance, physical strength and an extra measure of God’s love for you.

Dear Dave/Irene,
We are continually monitoring this website for info on Irene.
Each day the rosary to the Lady of the Rosary is prayed for you and Irene.  We cannot begin to imagine what you both are going through during these trying times.  I think you know that there are several family members and friends who are praying and praying for both of you.  Dave,  how can Rich and I donate blood down here in Merced and make sure that Irene is credited for it.  WE really want to do that if it’s possible.  Besides prayer, if there is anything that Rich and I can do for you please don’t hestitate to call us you have our number.  We have wanted to come see the both of you but I are not sure if it would be too much so we just pray.  Dave take care of yourself and Irene you are in loving hands of our Father, and his angels not to mention Jesus and his beloved Mother, Mary.

My heart aches for you and what you are going through.  I can understand the frustration and sometimes fear that you feel, having been in the hospital for 3 1/2 months myself. 

During my darkest hours when I cried out to God .... Where are You?  You promised in your word that we could just call out your name and you would be there. I told him I couldn’t understand why the pain wouldn’t release me and that I couldn’t stand anymore .... I was so mad at him at that moment.  Then I was sorrowful that I had raised my voice and my fist to him.  I fell back into my pillow and bed and as the tears were streaming down my face God lovingly told me to be still and know .... and rest in his word.

You have endured so much Irene ... I just wish I could take on some of this burden for both of you.  I can only stand in the gap and send my prayers to God.  Rest in his love, dear ones.

Hi everyone,

Irene was transferred to ICU late last night.  I am at her side this morning, after staying at a local hotel last night….obviously no ability to stay in her room…..

Strength, Comfort, Rest

Trusting Mom will be home for her Birthday – healing, is the Hope that we have.  Right now my mom needs Prayer Warriors to rise up and request of the Lord to work a miracle that she will not need pain medication. 

The medication dosage needed to provide relief to her agonizing bones tears up her stomach.  Even at total health my mom was hesitant to take ibuprofen because it reacted uncomfortably with her stomach.  Please request of God to work a miracle for her to rest comfortably without further abrasion to her body so she can heal. 

It is also my prayer that she will be able to rest comfortably with the humidifier on her face to help her breathe.  Her mouth and throat are dry from the Chemo, and although the humidified air would help, she doesn’t like the tubes, and elastic that is constantly stuck to her. 

Seeing her discomfort is crushing to my spirit, but even in suffering, Mom remains strong.  In surrender she said today, “Just tell me what I have to do so I can go home.” 

Just rest mom, rest and let God heal you, he accepts our prayers, and has heard our cry for mercy.

    O LORD, heal [her], for [her] bones are in agony.
3 [Her] soul is in anguish.
    How long, O LORD, how long?
4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver [Irene];
    save [her] because of your unfailing love.
