Blessings and we pray she will be at peace and the Lord will provide for a complete recovery. It is unnatural for her not to live a full life and we pray the Lord will remove the disease and heal her by his stripes (Isaiah 53) and cleanse her sickness by the power of the blood in Jesus name. Amen.

Hi Dave,

I have been in prayer for your family, and specifically Irene, and you.  I don’t have any smooth clichés to say, nor any profound words of wisdom.  This is an area that only “The Great Comforter” is qualified to work in.  I also pray that “The Great Encourager” will surround you with his Great Spirit.  I am interceding, through Christ, with both of you.  He is “The Vine.” Dave, no matter what happens, in any our lives, this world is not our home.  We all have a mission.  It is all about our faith; our dependency on God, as well as, each other.  I am sorry that I cannot be more of a servant to you at this time.  Please let me know how I can obey Jesus, by “helping you bear your burden.” Thank you for being such a great example of Jesus Christ’s love.

I am reminded of 1 Cor. 2:1-5:

V1 - And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. V2 - For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. V3 - I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. V4 - And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, V5 - that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

We received word of the disease attacking Irene’s body.  We are in prayer for her and also for you, Jocelyn, and Joanna.  We pray that “this sickness is not to death, but for God’s glory that the Son of God may be glorified.”

I have received the news of your illness and I want to be quick to let you know that you are at the top of my prayer list. 

More time to trust God, to know His abiding love for you, to seek Him in the darkest hours.

Marsha’s news was good to hear...and I know you will have the best care possible to bring you back to wellness. I will pray for your caregivers to have insight to make just the right decisions.  I will pray for healing and courage to get through the times of discouragement. There will be blessings that come with being so utterly dependent upon God’s grace - look for them and shout with joy that we should have such an awesome God who loves us more than we can even fathom.

Dear Dave,

Thank you for telling me about this .... I am so sorry, I really am.  My heart grieves for you and your family.  Like I have said, I know what it is like to be dying from a disease that eats you up .... but for whatever reason, God saved me from it.

I am going to be participating in a 40 day fast (one way or another....) and I will really be interceding for you and on your wife’s behalf. I have been praying in my weakness for you, but will put it in full force.
