Your Isaiah 40 reflections today really spoke to my heart. I resonated with your words both in relationship to Irene and to the life journey we are all walking. Bless you. I think there is deep meaning and power in the eagle as a symbol for Christian living.

Irene, we continue to pray for you daily, even waking up many times in the night as we are summoned to pray for you. We are contending for complete healing and encouragement and fullness of life for the journey...we do miss you. Thoughts of you bring smiles to our faces and sunshine to our hearts...we do not waiver in our intercession for you, for Dave, and for your precious and talented daughters.

Our prayers are for God’s best for your family.  It has been too many years since we have seen you, but we understand those things that God is walking you through.  Marsha has been on the liver transplant list for several years (at UCSF also).  Our hearts are with you and your family, knowing your ultimate trust in God and yet dealing with the “day to day” stuff that happens with all the medical stuff.  You will continue to be in our prayers.

Hi Irene and Dave,

I just read the web site update.  I still have hope for healing!  As we drove home tonight after dinner, I told Ken that I would like us to grow old with Irene and Dave, go to dinner together as two old white hair couples, and recount God’s mighty deeds in our lives for His glory.  We stand with you in prayer and praise.

May the Holy Spirit minister to you.  See you Tuesday.

I’m sorry to hear this news. At the same time, I am inspired by your faith, your hope in the midst of it. I will be praying. And I hope you have a very meaningful weekend with your daughter. I know I enjoy her company every moment I get to spend with her.

It was so great running into you and Dave at Carpo’s yesterday evening.  It was just a reminder to us of how great it is to be back home.  Irene, I just wanted you to know that there is one thing that I cannot get over from our encounter, and that is your smile.  Your smile radiates the Holy Spirit.  Lynn and I have had multiple conversations in the past 24 hours about how amazing it was to see the joy in you.  I just wanted to let you know how much of an encouragement you were to us.  We love you and are praying for you.

Betty Bouzeos told me about Googling for info about you and I’ve just read almost everything printed.  What an amazing account of faith and tenacity!!
Dick and I are so sorry for all you’ve had to go through but you’re doing a lot better than we thought would be the case and we are so thankful to our merciful Lord for answered prayer.  You both are an inspiriation to all who know you and read your witness!  We will continue to uphold you both in prayer for complete healing and bringing continue glory to Him.
