I love parties… and we are CELEBRATING Irene’s “transplant” birthday …. it was two months ago TODAY that she received her stem cell transplant at UCSF!!
Today is also her Birthday EVE, because tomorrow we CELEBRATE her “real” birthday!!! A very young 51…!!!!

We’re also celebrating our amazing network of family, friends, and all who have been intimately involved with us on the journey… praying, calling, emailing, sending well wishes and encouraging us in so many ways along the way…. We are simply overwhelmed with the amount of care and concern expressed by so many…how can we even begin to say “thank you”? We will start, anyway, by saying THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()
Betty Fairhurst picked Irene up from dialysis treatment this morning and brought lunch in…Irene really enjoyed that Wor Wonton Soup and an egg roll…!!! The nausea has subsided today, “Yay!”, and she has been soaking in the warm sunshine!! She is very emotionally and spiritually encouraged by yesterday’s visit to UCSF. We remain very hopeful that those kidneys will wake up soon!!!!
After her rest, a physical therapist named Beth from the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) worked with Irene for about an hour. She was encouraged by Irene’s strength and determination!!!!
As we celebrate TODAY, we have grateful hearts as we continue looking to God, the author and finisher of our faith, who strengthens and provides us with our every need!!!

WE WISH IRENE A HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MANY MANY MORE….OUR LOVE AND PRAYERS ALWAYS.
